About Me

Discover my professional background, my therapeutic ethos, and why I am passionate about supporting you on your healing journey.

A Warm Welcome..

Hello, I’m Beth. I am a fully qualified, BACP registered counsellor and psychotherapist providing professional, private therapy from my dedicated local room in Westcliff-on-Sea. My practice is built entirely around providing a compassionate, authentic, and confidential space for adults who are navigating life’s most painful or confusing challenges.

I do not believe in a one size fits all method of working. Instead, I focus on building a genuine human relationship with you, adapting my professional toolkit to suit your exact needs. Whether you are seeking a safe environment to process deep-seated trauma or looking for practical ways to manage daily anxiety, I am here to help you move forward into a lighter, more peaceful life.

Inclusive Care

Why I Became a Counsellor

My journey into therapy was shaped by both rigorous professional training and my own deeply personal life experiences. As someone who has navigated childhood trauma, multiple traumas, and a diagnosis of AuDHD later in life, I have a firsthand understanding of the profound emotional and physical impact these challenges leave behind. I know how heavy the burden of unearned blame and shame can feel, and how complex it can be to process trauma when your mind is wired a little differently.

Many of my clients choose to work with me because they want to sit with a therapist who has truly been through what they have. They value having a professional who brings genuine lived experience to the room, creating an environment where you never have to over-explain your neurodivergence or mask your past. This shared understanding is exactly what drove me to train professionally. I wanted to build a therapeutic practice that moves far beyond basic clinical tick-boxes to offer real, warm, and relational support that looks at the whole person. Helping you break free from old patterns, discover your boundaries, and reclaim your self-worth is the most rewarding part of the work I do.
